Points To Consider

19th October 2009
Another weekend of medicore weather. Sunrise on both days promised to be cloudy, so i pinned my hopes on clearer weather towards the end of the day. This weekend i had three points to consider - namely Redend Point near Studland, Redcliff Point near Weymouth and Peveril Point just to the south west of Swanage. First i headed to Redcliff Point. Patchy cloud blocked the low October from giving any great light, but i managed to get a few shots i was reasonly pleased with. I intend to return, but for the moment they will suffice in filling a blank spot in the guide.

I managed to catch Peveril Point at low tide, which reavealed a beautiful abundance of seaweed. The sun did briefly appear here and allowed some wonderful light to catch the rocks and marine plants.

Finally i arrived at Redend Point. The sun just managed to illuminate the beach here before disappearing behind the horizon. The tide races in quickly here and i only had a very brief window of opportunity.
Another spot that needs revisiting in better conditions....
